My Local Science Tutor
We have experienced science tutors that cover all aspects of science tuition from primary school science through to A level science. We have specialist physics, chemistry and biology tutors.
Science Tuition
Science is a core GCSE subject and ensures all students leave school with an understanding of the basic scientific principles of biology, chemistry and physics that govern our world. Along with the important skills of scientific enquiry and evaluation of evidence comes an appreciation that science will play an ever more important role in the regeneration of the UK economy. Businesses want well-skilled young people especially in the kind of high-tech companies that the government is encouraging UK investors to set up. Science qualifications are among the most important ones to equip young people for that kind of job market.
GCSE Science
Chatterton Tuition employs tutors in all three specialism areas of biology, chemistry and physics. Common to all three is the increasing element of 'How Science Works' that forms a large part of modular-assessed examination courses. The tutors can help at either Foundation or Higher level according to the ability of the individual pupil.
A level Science
Tutors are familiar with the requirements of the main examination boards, namely AQA, Edexcel and Salters Nuffield. Coursework assistance is available as well as coaching in preparing pupils for school-based Investigative Skills Assessments (ISAs).
Science Activity Sessions
New for 2013 are Science Activity Sessions. These promise to be pretty explosive! There are two sessions planned for July and are suitable for any child aged 7 to 13. The cost per session is £30 per pupil and all of this will be donated to Leukaemia Research. The sessions last three hours each and will be very hands on, exploring science in a practical and safe way with an experienced, qualified science teacher. For more information or to book (please be aware that places are limited) then contact us.
"Lisa said that she wished that Phil was her science teacher at school. He explained everything so clearly."
