The Chatterton Tuition Ltd Office Team
Chatterton Tuition Ltd understand that choosing a tutor is one of the most important things you will do for your own or your child's education.
Husband and wife team Phil and Sara Chatterton are both Birmingham University graduates with a wealth of education and business experience between them. They are Co-Directors of Chatterton Tuition Ltd.
As founder of the business Sara's qualifications include an honours degree in Mathematics and Membership of the Institute of Actuaries (1994). Sara has been tutoring maths (up to A level) since 2004 and also tutors for the 11+ Entrance Exam. With an excellent reputation for student success, a warm and personable approach and a resultant continual flood of referrals and recommendations, Sara quickly found that the demand for tuition outstripped her ability to provide. In 2008 she launched Chatterton Tuition with just a handful of tutors on the books. Chatterton Tuition then saw a period of rapid growth and success resulting in over 150 tutors joining the Teaching Team. Chatterton Tuition became a limited company in November 2013 and Sara's teacher-husband Phil joined the team when they moved into their new premises in Copgrove.
Phil joined the team full time as Co-Director in January 2014. Phil brings to the business qualifications which include a degree in Biochemistry, a Masters Degree in Business Administration fom Manchester University, along with a PGCE and 5 years experience as a teacher at secondary schools in the area.
In keeping with the family tradition Jane joined the team in March 2015. Sister of Sara, Jane studied her degree in Humanities at Thames Valley University, going on to qualify as a teacher in primary education. With many years experience as both a teacher, and private tutor, Jane's specialist area is English and 11+. Jane has, more recently, forged a successful career in PR and Marketing, and it is a combination of all these roles that she brings to the Chatterton Tuition Ltd team.
